Some women buy shoes and handbags. I buy exotic spices and kitchen gadgets.
I love to experience, which is probably why I love writing. I experience through travel, cooking, food, wine, time with friends and learning new things – like how to make socca, catch Redfish, scrape popcorn off of ceilings, or build a website. Every time I am faced with a blank screen I get to learn how to do something new.
I have been writing professionally since 2005. I’ve been a journalist, a marketing director, a copywriter, a creative manager, a grammar and composition teacher and a novelist. I published my debut novel, The Hatpin Killer, in 2012, and am currently working on another.
I live with my husband and daughter in Austin, Texas.
